TASTING NOTES

The 2021 Montague Estate Grenache most certainly leans into a stylistically ‘lighter’ spectrum, opening with a beautiful nose of raspberries and black tea melded with soft notes of rosemary, juniper, and liquorice. The raspberry theme continues onto the palate where it entwines itself with light touches of leather strap, sweet tobacco, roasted plum and a sprinkling of white pepper. Fine tannins are teamed with medium acidity.

Food Pairing: Slow-cooked lamb shoulder, crispy-skinned roast duck with root vegetables.

Cellaring Potential: Now – 8 years
